Division placement is determined by a combination of variables including player league age, skill level, prior league experience, coach recommendation and Little League guidelines. The registration application will ask several questions to help us determine the correct division for your child based on these variables. The following information will help with the registration process.
ESLL reserves the right to re-assign a child to a division other than the one in which he or she is originally registered or requested by the parent(s). This is done for a variety of reasons: safety, the need for equal teams, for the development of any particular child, to ensure that each division has the requisite number of players, or for the general well-being of the league as a whole.
Little League International determines league age. Please use the 2018 league age chart to determine your child’s league age, which may be different from actual age.
No Player Evaluations or "Tryouts."
Friend requests are not typically honored in the competitive baseball divisions (Double-A and above.) However, Fall Ball is small enough that buddy requests are considered but not guaranteed.
ESLL Baseball games and practice schedules won't be published until after registration closes and team formation is complete.
Practices will be on one of the fields in El Segundo (Brett Field, Walton or Bakalyar) and games are expected to be played in other little leagues against Manhattan Beach, Redondo Beach and Rolling Hills.
Your child must be an El Segundo resident, or your child must attend an El Segundo school. In some cases, a waiver can be requested based on the situation.
Coaches are needed. If you have an interest in coaching, please indicate this in the “Parent” section on the “Player and Guardian Information” page.
No Snack Bar Shifts Required
